Next Runway Shoe Collection

next shoes2This year Next have a new collection of shoes called the Runway Collection which includes a number of fabulous shoes perfect for the party season. With their killer heels and bright colours they are definately taking their inspiration from the designer ranges but at a fraction of the price. They also have a number of black or metallic heels which will go with any party outfit but beware as these shoes are not for high heel novices!

I love this rainbow ankle cuff pair which will easily glam up the simplest of ‘little black dresses’ instantly turning it into a must have outfit. They have huge heels so if you’re not used to wearing heels require a bit of practice but are well worth it as the huge heel makes your legs look endless. The platform at the front also helps to make them more comfortable to wear.

I also have to mention the  black suede peep toe shoes with have a gold platform at the front which I equally love after being bought a pair as a maternity leave present. As there black and gold they will go with practically any party dress I buy. I can’t wait to put them on after the baby is born to wear to my christmas party!

Bikini Bands

bikini bandWhen I was on holiday this Summer, I tried out a new item called the Bikini Band. The Bikini Band is a translucent, adjustable band that can be slipped over the top of your bikini, so that you can untie your bikini neck strap when sunbathing and prevent those dreaded strap marks! The colourless rubber of the Bikini Band allows the sun to still reach your skin for full tanning potential.

I found that it held my bikini up securely (and spared my blushes!), working just as well when sitting up as lying down. I was surprised at just how discreet and unnoticeable the band actually was.

Having said that, the coloured toggles can be a bit of a give away, so personally I wouldn’t walk along the beach wearing it. But for those serious sunbathers who would like a nice golden tan without any strap marks, then the Bikini Band certainly does the job!

Irregular Choice have some very unique  flat and high heel shoes available on their website or through Schuh. I love their range as the shoes are very colourful with bold designs not available in any other range I have seen. One of my favourite pairs is the antique rose court shoe which is available in a quite a few different colours. I have the black and gold pair shown above which are my favourite pair of shoes as they can glam up any outfit and I’ve had so many comments each time I wear them. The same shoe also comes in a purple with silver detail which I am very tempted to buy as well but I can’t really justify buying the same shoes twice even in a different colour. The cortesan floral are my other favourites from their range (though I would happily have most of the shoes in their range!) and I’m thinking they will be my next indulgence.

BooHoo Clothing

As I’m now 5 months pregnant and we are actually having a hot summer this year so I’ve been trying hard to find some nice summer dresses. Something that would be cool in the hot sunshine but that won’t break the bank as I only have a few more months left with the bump!

I’ve just discovered a website called BooHoo which has lots of gorgeous summer dresses at very affordable prices. The two shown above are some of my favourites, however when I’m shopping I have to accomodate bump in the style! The Hawaiian print dress is perfect for sunny days and can be worn during the day or with a pair of heels and jewellery for the evening. Surprisingly it hides bump very well and I should be able to wear it for at least a couple of months.

The bandeau jersey dress is available in a range of colours but it is the aqua colour that I think is the most stunning. I am very tempted to buy it in another colour, possibly pink, as its very comfortable and easy to wear. With a smart black cardigan and some work shoes you can even get away with wearing it at work when the heat wave becomes too much. At first I was a bit dubious about ordering lots of clothes from a website I had never used before, however I love the dresses I bought and am struggling to restrain myself from buying more. BooHoo is definately worth a look for summer dresses!

Sexy New Pumps From Office

office-pumpsI must admit that I am definitely one of those women who absolutely loves shoes. They are one of my favourite purchases. My bulging wardrobe and frustrated husband will both testify to that fact! Shoes are one of those things that I find so easy to buy, there is no having to get changed or knowing if it will fit, like when buying clothes. I can’t pass a shoe shop without wanting to go in or at least have a good look in the window. You can never have too many pairs of shoes especially when you need flat shoes, high heels and work shoes all of course in a variety of colours.

I love the shoes in Office as they always have some interesting styles and colours, and this pair is no exception. They are cutely named the tip top pump and come in purple and pink suede. There is also a version available in black however I think the girlyness of the pink and purple is half the appeal! Of course being suede care is required as to when you can wear them – they are certainly not made for the rain! However with the hot summer they are predicting this year, hopefully there should be plenty of rain free days to wear them on.  They are available from Office for £40 and I think worth every penny!
