Another Primark Baragin

Posted by Laura | Fashion,Random | Saturday 28 May 2011 8:00 am

After my success in Primark the other week I couldn’t resist popping in again to see if they had anything new. I didn’t manage to find any clothes but I did pick up this cream satchel bag for only £6.

I often find the bags in Primark feel a little plasticy but this feels like a very soft leather. I’m guessing it’s not but feeling and looking like leather is enough for me particularly for the price I paid! I also think the pattern on the front helps make it look a little more expensive than it was.

With my little boy it can sometimes be difficult carrying him and one of my big hand bags so this cross body style is perfect and the light cream colour is likely to go with a lot of my summer looks.

Primark Mini Haul

Posted by Laura | Fashion,Random | Thursday 19 May 2011 8:00 am

I loving looking at other people’s buy on their blogs and OOTD and I often find that people have found some really nice items in Primark. I think I must be very unlucky usually as I normally come back from Primark empty handed however that doesn’t stop me popping in in my lunch break. This time I managed to find myself some fab bargains which I just had to write about!

This floaty cover up was was only £8 and I’ve already worn it a few times! This works perfectly with my black mini and vest to wear out and also works with my jeans and vest top  to glam up a day time look.

I’m loving cut-off tops at the minute and this tiger print top looks perfect with a golden tan. It was only £6 and I can see me wearing it a lot this summer with my skinny jeans or my flared jeans for a slightly more 70′s look. Providing of course the sunshine comes back!

I wasn’t too sure about this shawl originally but when I got to the till it turned out to be only £5 rather than the £12 on the ticket. It’s so big and cosy I can throw it over any outfit as the temperature begins to drop in the evenings.

I’m starting to get a little more length to my hair so I’ve started wearing up every now and then to give me a different look. Last time I grew my hair long I ended up getting it cut shorter as the length started to annoy me a little so hopefully if I find some nice up do’s it will stop me wanting to chop it off!

I hate just pulling my hair back in a pony tale so I’ve bought a couple of hair accessories to add a bit of interest. The beaded hairband was only £2.50 and the lace style hair band only £1.50. Perfect for my holiday away when I want to battle the frizz I suffer on the beach. My faith in Primark has been restored and my bank balance surprisingly undented!

Irregular Choice Shoes

Posted by Laura | Fashion | Friday 28 January 2011 8:00 am

I don’t often do fashion related posts but I just couldn’t resist showing you the must amazing pair of shoes I picked up in the sales.

Irregular choice is a range of shoes sold at Schuh which make some very colourful and different designs. I have a pair of black suede high heels from the range which have a sequinned gold and black flower on the front and are my most favourite pair of shoes ever!

The pair of shoes I’ve bought I’d actually been eyeing up when they were full price but couldn’t really justify buying them. How cute is the shoe box?!

Whilst I love the high heels I’m not really getting to wear them so much with my little boy so I thought these kitten heels are prefect. The purple colour is just up my street and I love that you don’t really see any other ranges with similar designs.

The same shoes also come in a black and silver design which I would love to have but they aren’t in the sale so I shall have to restrain myself for now! I picked this purple pair up for £34.95 from Schuh.

Next Runway Shoe Collection

next shoes2This year Next have a new collection of shoes called the Runway Collection which includes a number of fabulous shoes perfect for the party season. With their killer heels and bright colours they are definately taking their inspiration from the designer ranges but at a fraction of the price. They also have a number of black or metallic heels which will go with any party outfit but beware as these shoes are not for high heel novices!

I love this rainbow ankle cuff pair which will easily glam up the simplest of ‘little black dresses’ instantly turning it into a must have outfit. They have huge heels so if you’re not used to wearing heels require a bit of practice but are well worth it as the huge heel makes your legs look endless. The platform at the front also helps to make them more comfortable to wear.

I also have to mention the  black suede peep toe shoes with have a gold platform at the front which I equally love after being bought a pair as a maternity leave present. As there black and gold they will go with practically any party dress I buy. I can’t wait to put them on after the baby is born to wear to my christmas party!

Bikini Bands

Posted by Laura | Beauty Tips,Fashion | Sunday 27 September 2009 7:55 pm

bikini bandWhen I was on holiday this Summer, I tried out a new item called the Bikini Band. The Bikini Band is a translucent, adjustable band that can be slipped over the top of your bikini, so that you can untie your bikini neck strap when sunbathing and prevent those dreaded strap marks! The colourless rubber of the Bikini Band allows the sun to still reach your skin for full tanning potential.

I found that it held my bikini up securely (and spared my blushes!), working just as well when sitting up as lying down. I was surprised at just how discreet and unnoticeable the band actually was.

Having said that, the coloured toggles can be a bit of a give away, so personally I wouldn’t walk along the beach wearing it. But for those serious sunbathers who would like a nice golden tan without any strap marks, then the Bikini Band certainly does the job!
