Madara eyeAs you may have noticed my blog has been slightly bare of posts for the last couple of weeks! This is because I’ve been enjoying a lovely holiday in Norfolk with my hubby and little boy. Now that I’m feeling nice and refreshed its time to get doen to the all important business of reviewing the newest beauty products!

This month I’ve been trying one of the new eye care products from Madara.  They have two new products, a firming eye contour gel and an eye repair cream. I’ve been trying the firming eye contour gel which is designed to reduce puffiness, dark circles and signs of fatigue to leave your eyes looking radiant.

Its a cool gel which smells faintly of cucumber and feels very soothing when you apply it your eyes. It reminds me of putting fresh cucumber on your eyes or one of those masks! I quite like this product as it is absorbed easily into the skin around your eyes and doesn’t leave them feeling greasy. It actually quite reminds me of Clinique’s all about eyes a product which I do really like!

Lee staffordYou may wonder what on earth I’m reviewing when you read the title of this post and I must say that my husband did look at this product when I brought it home and asked what on earth it was?! Matt Stylee Low Fat Cashmere Cushion is one of the styling products from Lee Stafford’s range designed to pad and puff the hair to give luxurious volume!

I actually ended up buying this product when I was looking for some frizz-ease hair serum as I fancied trying a new styling product. I need a product that helps to smooth dry hair and a little bit of volume never goes a miss!

When you first get this product out the tube and apply it to your hair it actually feels quite sticky and leaves you needing to wash your hands. That made me slightly dubious about how my hair would turn out but I actually ended up loving this product!

My hair feels silky soft and smooth. Its not at all oily, doesn’t weight your hair down and I can tell that it does give my hair a bit of extra volume. I’m very pleased with this and for once I’ve found a product that does exactly what it says on the tin!

Benefit Porefessional

PorefessionalAfter seeing all the hype about Porefessional from Benefit I decided I needed to try this product out for myself to see whether it actually would work wonders on my pores and make them vanish!

Porefessional is a PRO balm which is designed to reduce the appearance of pores and to make your skin appear smoother. Its a silicone based primer which can be applied under makeup to provide a smooth base for foundation or can be applied over makeup during the day for touch ups.

I had high hopes for this product but unfortuantely it did not make my pores vanish like I had hoped. I’m not even too sure that it really even minimised my pores either but maybe their just too large! That said it did give my skin a silky smooth feel and a smoother base for applying foundation. It also helped my skin to remain oil free for longer and when I reapplied it during the day it did dry up any shine.

Overall I did like how it made my skin feel and the fact that my skin remained shine free for longer however it is a pricey product for just this use. Maybe if you have smaller pores this product may be for you!
