Sheer Cover Mineral Makeup

SheerCoverMineral makeup is currently one of the must have products for your makeup bag as it gives natural coverage and a beautiful finish without the use of any nasty oils, dyes or talcs.

I’ve been trying the range from Sheer Cover which includes products for the eyes, face and lips as well as a skincare range. Firstly the range for the face is a concealer and a foundation. The concealer has two shades, the lighter of which can be used under the eyes  and for other blemishes the two can be mixed to give a perfect match for your skin tone.

I like the foundation which comes as a loose powder which is nice and easy to apply even when your rushing round with a baby. The foundation gave good coverage and a nice finish however I did find that on the drier areas it didn’t give quite such good coverage I would recommend using a good moisturiser first!

The eye and lip products come in a handy little compact with three lip glosses and highlighters. The highlighters worked well as eye shadows particular the iridescent white shade which I found made my eyes look brighter. The lip glosses gave a natural look to the lips with just a hint of colour perfect for a daytime look.

Nude Body Treatments

Nude body1A little while ago I reviewed some of the skincare  products from Nude and now that Christmas is approaching they have brought out a number of fantastic looking gift sets.

I’ve been trying the Nude Body set which contains a moisturising body polish and hibiscus monoi (that’s a type of moisturiser!). I was very excited when it arrived as it comes in a lovely presentation box that reminded me of  shoe box. I mean that in a good way as its the type of box that you open to find something posh and luxurious inside!

The moisturising body polish is a sugar based polish that initially is quite solid in the pot however when you scoop it out it quickly lathers up into a creamy but grainy body scrub.  The scrub leaves your skin feeling very soft but nicely moisturised.  The hibiscus monoi is a moisturising treatment for the skin and hair which contains coconut oil to leave you feeling silky smooth.

GHD Precious Gift Set

ghdThis christmas there is a new limited edition addition to the GHD range; the GHD precious gift set. The black and silver GHD styler is the must have present this christmas as it is perfect for creating all those party hairstyles.

No other hair straighteners compare to GHD in their ability to straighten, flick or curl your hair. I have the hot pink set which I got as a christmas present last year however I would still be tempted to indulge with these one’s if my old set wasn’t still working as well as it does!

The gift set also contains a travel sized hair dryer and a heat resistant roll bag so you can safely store your straighteners.  If your after this set you will definately need to snap it up quickly as I’m sure it will be another sellout christmas present!

Arbonne Anti-Ageing Treatments

arbonne_skin_care_setNutriMinC RE9 are the anti-ageing products available from Arbonne skincare which are designed to address the after effects of sun exposure and ageing. They have a range of products that can be used as part of your every day routine as well as a treatment range which can be used when you feel your skin needs that little extra attention.

The REgain illuminating enzyme peel is a new addition to the NutriMinC range which is used as a one off face mask to exfoliate and rejuvenate the complexion. The peel should ideally be left on for 15-20 minutes which I must admit is quite a challenge with a little baby as its hard to find a spare 20 minutes in the day!

I did however finally manage to try this product without too many interruptions and after using it my skin did feel smoother and softer to touch. The following day my skin did look brighter but unfortunately I think until baby is a bit older I’m unlikely to find the time I need to properly pamper myself!
